St. Georgskirche (St. George's church)

Gothic church of St. George is one of the biggest in Southern Germany. It is the main protestant church in the town built at the end of the 15th century. It is built in gothic style, while inside you will find elements of baroque. For instance, the altar, some epitaphs dedicated to noble townsfolk, and organ reconstructed in the 10th century.

Neo-Renaissance style can be found in the colonnade and images of chimeras on wooden seats. Church tower Daniel is a gorgeous observation deck at the height of 90 m. It’s great to look at the town and vicinity from here.

You only have to climb 350 stairs. The huge crater left by the meteorite and the entire town surrounded by a circle of walls are well visible from here.
